Requirements ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ A PCMCIA compatible Laptop A PCMCIA chipset that is PCIC compatible (Intel, Cirrus, Vadem, and VLSI) Netware 3.12 Server Software A DE-650CT (our single media cards are not supported, 650T and 650C) A knowledge of basic DOS commands and editing text files Minimum Skill Level ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ A knowledge of basic DOS commands A knowledge of editing text files A knowledge of DOS basic file structure (CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT) A knowledge of the network driver configuration being used Please see Support Options if you are not comfortable will this skill level Compatibility List ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ DE-650CT only (will not run with DE-650T or DE-650C) Removal of any present PCMCIA drivers For a laptop compatibility list please consult your local D-Link Branch Office Getting Started ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ Copy the NWDE65S.LAN file from the \nwde65s.lan directory into the subdirectory of your server. Type: >copy \nwde65s.lan \NW312 ; if nw311 is the server subdirectory ; is the path where nwde65s.lan resides. If the autoinstall was used =\NW312. Copy all provided NLM files into your server directory. Type: >copy \*.NLM \NW312 Run SERVER.EXE on the server. Edit the AUTOEXEC.NCF file as follows: :load install Select Select Modify the server's AUTOEXEC.NCF as follows: load C:\NW312\MSM.NLM load C:\NW312\ETHERTSM.NLM load C:\NW312\NWDE65S.LAN bind ipx to nwde65s net=xxxx ;xxxx is the network # ie. 33 Press Esc after editing. Select "Yes" to save. Select "Exit" to exit installation. Shut down the server and then turn it ON again. The driver is now installed and running.
