 NOTES ON MTSX RSS VERSION R06.08.00 (3Q2005 Final Release)
 ===================================


 WARNING:

 THIS VERSION OF SOFTWARE NO LONGER SUPPORT MTS2000 
 RADIO WITH THE MODEL NUMBER FORMAT H01xxxxPWxxx. PLEASE UPGRADE 
 TO MTS2000 CPS R01.13.00.


 The MTSX Radio Service Software is being updated to R06.08.00.
 This version is based on the R06.07.00 release.

 Below is a summary of the various MTSX RSS enhancements and MTSX
 Radio feature support introduced since release R06.05.00 of the    
 MOTOROLA MTSX RSS.  Most of the new features allow the   
 programming of radio options.  Therefore, the availability of   
 these options depends on the capability of the particular MTSX   
 radio being programmed.  Please consult the MTSX RSS user manual
 for a detailed description of the respective features.  

 MTSX RSS R06.08.00 FEATURES FOR MTS 2000 RADIOS:
 -----------------------------------------------
 The following new features are available ONLY for MTS 2000 radios
 starting with this release:
 - None.
 
 DISK CONTENTS:

The MTSX RSS comes on one 3.5" High Density disk.
The disk contains the following files:

        DISK #1

        INSTALL.DAT
        INSTALL.EXE
        MTSX.001
        README.TXT

 INSTALLATION PROCEDURE:
 =======================

 1. Place Disk 1 in your floppy disk drive. 
 2. Go to the floppy disk drive.
 3. Type "INSTALL" and press return.
 4. Follow the installation directions displayed on your screen.
 5. After completion of the installation process, make sure that  
    you are in the directory where the MTSX RSS application was   
    installed.   
   
 After completion of the installation process, the following files and  
 directories shall be generated:  
  
    UPGRADE             (DIR)  
    SRIB                (DIR)  
    SYSKEY              (DIR)  
    ARCHIVE             (DIR)  
    OFP                 (DIR)  
  
    MTSX.ODB             (FILE)  
    MTSX.BAT             (FILE)  
    RUNTIME.EXE         (FILE)  
    MTSXHOPT.MDF         (FILE)  
    README.TXT          (FILE)  
    UPGRADE\MTSXBOOT.ENC (FILE)  
    SRIB\SMARTRIB.ENC   (FILE)  

 6. Type "MTSX" at the DOS prompt to start the MTSX RSS application.
