Install Options:
---------------

Simply typing:

    make

will give you all the install options.  You have the option of making everything
including both the science part and the GUI part or each individually.  You can
also build one element at a time by going to its directory and typing "make".
Just be sure you build the contents of the slffea-1.1/common/ and slffea-1.1/common_gr/
directories which contain all the common utilities of the science and graphics parts.
If you build the graphics part, you have to have Mesa-3.0 or higher installed in
your /usr/local/ directory.

I have added text executables within each data directory which will run the
correct scientific or graphics binary in the corresponding program directory.  For
instance, if you are in the /slffea-1.1/data/bm directory, you can run
the beam codes by just typing bm and bmpost.  

Alternatively, if you want to run the codes from any location, then you could add the
paths to each binary in your ~/.profile file.  A third option is to make a bunch of
aliases and put this in your ~/.profile file.  For example, my ~/.profile has the lines:

Finally, you may want to copy all the executables to the /usr/local/bin directory.
A good reason to keep the executables in the same directory as their sources is for
development purposes.

I currently have the -g flag turned on for the scientific codes so that if you choose
to modify them, you can run a debugger on the executables.
