AH, but that's all changing. Now there _is_ Notes-on-the-Net. The company OS
Techonlogy has created NetNotes, a DEC Notes-compatible network Notes tool.
Conferences for NetNotes are accessible from WWW clients, NetNotes clients, and
DEC Notes clients. Try one. Here's an excerpt from a note in comp.org.decus:

HOW TO ACCESS THE CONFERENCES AND WHAT CONFERENCES ARE THERE:

        a) If you are using a WEB browser:

                open the url http://webnotes.decus.org

Follow the instructions on the Welcome Page. You may
register on the server to gain write access, or use
        anonymous for read-only

NOTE: Be sure to select the proper presentation preference.
I.E. If you are using Lynx, select one of the Lynx modes.

-----------------
        b) If you are using a TCP/IP aware Notes Product such as
NetNotes or DEC Notes over TCP/IP

                The conference is:

                        test_conference@nnotes.decus.org
                                        or
                        sample@nnotes.decus.org
                                        or
                        decus95_election@nnotes.decus.org

Add these entries to your notebook in a manner appropriate
        for your Notes client.

Questions and/or comments about this facility are welcome in the
TEST_CONFERENCE.

You may ask any TECHNICAL questions, etc., in the OS TECH NetNotes conference
(netnotes@ostech.com from Notes and webnotes.ostech.com from the Web)
