The INFO-PDP11 FAQ, the Module Field Guide, and miscellaneous other
bits are available via anonymous ftp from ftp.village.org
(198.137.146.51), in the /pub/pdp-11. You can also use the URL
http://www.village.org/pdp-11/, but nothing has been converted to html
yet.

New since the last reminder: a cross assembler that runs on MS-DOS
and produces output for PDP-11s.

Let me know if you have something PDP-11-related that you would like
to make available via anonymous ftp.

Anonymous FTP instructions (approximate, as there are so many
different FTP clients out there):

	- provide a user name of `ftp' or `anonymous'
	- provide a `password' that is your email address (such
	  as dworkin@village.org)
	- CD /pub/pdp-11
	- BINARY (only if getting compressed files)
	- GET filename (or filename.gz, if getting compressed files)
	- QUIT

If you want the compressed versions of the files (they transfer more
quickly), you must have gunzip available at your end, and remember to
transfer the files in binary mode.

If you don't have gunzip, but do have uncompress, you can retrieve
file.Z. The .Z files aren't kept on-line, but are created on the fly
when requested, which is why they don't show up in directory listings.

Share and Enjoy!
