I have a fully working link into demon from our MicroVAX 3100. This has been
stable for 6 months now so I think it is ok.

Your Device_Init line should read
Device_Init:SLDRV:TTA3:your.domain.name:158.152.your.address:0.0.0.0
ie. Device_Init:SLDRV:TTA3:sias.demon.co.uk:158.152.your.address:0.0.0.0

Gateway line is
Gateway:gate.demon.co.uk:158.152.1.65:158.152.0.0:255.255.0.0

My NAMRES contain the following lines

Domain_server:.:ns.demon.co.uk:158.152.1.193:53
Domain_server:.:gate.demon.co.uk:158.152.1.65:53
Domain_server:.:ns2.demon.co.uk:192.68.174.95:53

I have a script written using CKERMIT that autodials Demon at regular
intervals and handles all the dialing etc. IF you would like to mail
me I will organise to mail you a copy of the routines.
