    [Steve - is this conference also for U*x hacking, or only for OpenVMS?]
    In U*x, this type of stuff tends to be reasonably supported AND
    documented. Take a good look at the ioctl commands for the tty's and
    you could write your own. I have appended a snoop.c I picked up
    someplace over the last year. It will at least give you a start.
