| Part number |
Description |
| 030-0950-001 |
The original (5 volt PCI only) |
| 030-0950-002 |
We added the special ksync connector for O200 (still 5 volt
only) |
| 030-1441-001 |
First "universal" version (3.3 or 5 volt PCI) for
sgi 320/540 |
| 030-1649-001 |
Slightly better card outline for SN1 (O3000). Also
"universal". |
To rework 030-0950-002 assemblies in order to be used on 3.3 volt PCI
(sgi 320/540 or SN1):
Instructions:
-
You are going to cut five traces on the board. Read all the
instructions before you start to cut.
-
Cut traces going to P2 pins A10,A16,A59,B19 and B59.
-
As you count, BE SURE to
count the virtual pins in the two key slots! 12, 13, 50
&51 are virtual pins lost in the slots.
-
P2 is the regular PCI edge connector (ignore the 6 pins of P1).
-
The 'A' pins are on the bottom side of the board, 'B' pins are on the
top (component) side.
-
Remove at least 1mm of the trace to ensure the connection is broken.
-
If you place the board with PCI connector down, bulk head to the left
and component side up, then the pin numbers start at 1 on the left and
increase in number from left to right.
Warning! If you are trying to use
any of the first three Radicals in SN1, it is easy for the PCI carrier
to mis-align the card as its inserted. That's why we made the 1649. If
you suspect that the card is not being fully inserted into the PCI
socket by the PCI carrier, try inserting it WITHOUT the carrier. Its
tricky. Do this at your own risk.
