Service Pack 6 for Terminal Server

Service Pack 6 (TSE SP6) provides the latest updates to Microsoft Windows NT Server 4.0 Terminal Server Edition. TSE SP6 is based on Service Pack 6a for Windows NT Server 4.0 and contains additional updates for Terminal Server. TSE SP6 is not a required upgrade; Microsoft recommends that each customer consult the TSE SP6 documentation and then determine whether to deploy it.

Service Pack 6 (TSE SP6) provides the latest updates to Microsoft Windows NT Server 4.0 Terminal Server Edition. This release is only available in High Encryption (128-bit) for Intel (x86) platforms.

IMPORTANT: If your terminal server is running the standard encryption (40-bit) version of Windows NT 4.0, Terminal Server Edition, and your Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) encryption level is set to high, your client computers might be unable to connect after you apply TSE SP6. To correct this, first apply TSE SP6 on your server, and then upgrade your client computers using the Terminal Server Client Creator tool. Alternatively, you can lower your RDP encryption level to low or medium settings. This does not apply to Citrix ICA clients.

TSE SP6 provides 128-bit encryption capabilities for computers running on the Intel (x86) platform. TSE SP6 is eligible for export from the U.S. to all customers worldwide, except to U.S. embargoed destinations. Order Service Pack 6 on CD
The TSE SP6 CD contains the same software as the download and also includes Internet Explorer 5.01, updated hardware device drivers, and symbol files. The CD is available for order from this Web site only to customers in the United States, U.S. territories, and Canada. International customers can obtain the CD through their local Microsoft subsidiary.
