A. SAN Volume Controller cluster which has not yet been initialized: If you have not yet created a SAN Volume Controller cluster using the front panel of the SAN Volume Controller node, you need to complete that task before creating the cluster with the SAN Volume Controller Console. Refer to the "IBM System Storage SAN Volume Controller Software Installation and Configuration Guide" in the section titled "Initiating cluster creation from the front panel." You will be given a special password by the IBM service representative or IBM Business Partner that is needed in subsequent tasks. After you have created the cluster from the front panel, you need to create the cluster by using the SAN Volume Controller Console. Refer to the "IBM System Storage SAN Volume Controller Software Installation and Configuration Guide" in the section titled "Creating a cluster using the SAN Volume Controller Console." Enter the IP address of the cluster and check the "Create (Initialize) Cluster" box. When you click the OK button you are asked to sign on to this cluster.
